The birth anniversary of Sardar Valabbhai Patel on 31st Oct’2014 was celebrated at Oriental Public School as 'RashtriyaEktaDiwas'. In the morning assembly on the ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas’ the school administer an oath of unity and integrity to the students. A talk was held on the life and history of Patel in which the role played by Sardar Patel for the integration of Princely states in India and importance of unity and integrity would be highlighted and the students participated in "Run for Unity". Principal Mrs. Hardeep Kaur emphasized on the importance of harmonized manpower to help in achieving strength for the country. She stressed on inherent power in students for the unity, integrity and security of our country. She emphasized on the relevance of joint effort for unity as how it is more important than individual efforts. Vice- Principal Mr. Aloke Mukherjee also reaffirmed students to showcase collaborative efforts in other works such as cleaning the school and public places like others developed countries.
